Men Are Now Filming Themselves Getting Vasectomies For Some Reason

What in the world is going on? What are people drinking these days? How do online users come up with such bizarre ideas? Apparently, men are now letting us behind the curtain, and are actually showing us them getting their vasectomies.

But the reason behind it is sort of wholesome…and I say that lightly. Since Roe V Wade was overturned back in June, there has been a “massive increase” in men getting vasectomies. The procedure is known as a type of male birth control that cuts off all the supply of sperm to semen. According to Mayo Clinic, the tubes that carry the sperm are cut and then sealed to prevent pregnancy and are 99 percent effective.

So now, men are showing their support by posting their videos on TikTok. Believe it or not, under the hashtag #vasectomy, there are over 522,000 million videos showing either a reaction to getting a vasectomy, men actually getting the procedure on video, or people celebrating their vasectomy. Some are encouraging other men, saying that the procedure is safe and are trying to debunk any misinformation that surrounds it.

“So It Wasn’t That Bad”

For example, user Keith Laue is one of the men that went viral for sharing his own experience. Laurie stated that he wanted to help anyone who was wondering about the procedure. He uploaded a video, captioning it, “This isn’t a normal post but I thought it was relevant given the news today #vasectomy #roe v wade.”

He went on to tell his followers, “So I got a vasectomy a few weeks ago and I wanted to walk you all through the process just in case you were considering getting one yourself. It started with a phone consultation, it was super easy, they set the appointment for a couple of weeks out.”

He went on to say that on the day of his vasectomy he was prescribed Valium to calm his anxiety. “Walking in, I got local anesthesia, I was awake the whole time for the procedure which was really weird. It only lasted like 10 or 15 minutes so it wasn’t that bad,” he continued.

After explaining his symptoms he went on to touch on the topic of Roe V Wade. “Following the overturning of Roe V Wade, I am way more confident in this decision than ever. And I think that as men it’s time we start to support women and support our weight of birth control.”

User Jimmy McMurrin also shared a video in regards to his vasectomy and actually filmed himself while getting it. “POV you’re getting neutered,” he captioned the video as he points the camera at himself. His reaction was definitely hilarious, as he breaks out into song after they finish the procedure.

User Mike Pridgen also decided to film his reaction, initially saying he thought it was gonna be worse. “That’s not nearly as bad as I thought it was going to be,” he told the doctor. Users thanked Pridgen for filming his procedure with one comment saying, “Heavily considering getting this done as I don’t want my partner to deal with side effects of birth control.” Another user noted, “Had mine done in a grand total of like 12 minutes. Best decision I’ve ever made.”

So, there you have it, men. Take this information and do with it whatever you’d like. Pretty wholesome to see some men helping out not only other men but women too.

So…yeah, happy vasectomies! (Insert thumbs up, here)
