Go On Board Elon Musk’s $70M Private Jet

Elon Musk is allegedly couch-surfing right now. But on the upside, Elon owns a $70M private jet.

Yes, just like Jeff Bezos, Elon owns a G650ER, which he flies about 150,000 miles per year according to The Washington Post.

Currently listed as the richest person in the world, Elon also owns another plane, the Dassault Falcon 900B. Where does a homeless person park two planes? Does it really matter and does anyone care?

But for real, the length of Elon’s private jet is almost 100 feet, and the cabin is 46’10” and almost 400 square feet around. There are four different configurations available, it comes with an airshow system, and it has the widest cabin in its class. Not that you’re looking to buy.

The G650ER was listed as costing about $3,662 per hour to fly back when fuel was $4.17 per gallon. So, let’s just slap on 50% and say it costs about $5,493 per hour to hobo around in.

By this math and assuming his homeless situation isn’t tacking on extra miles, Elon spends about $823,950,000 in gas per year flying his $70M G650ER. That’s about 7,950,000 pounds of carbon emissions.

It seems that there are two obvious answers to what everyone is thinking right now. Elon needs a home and should probably contribute to purchasing some serious carbon offets.

What do you think?
