Kevin Feige, the president of Marvel Studios and the primary producer of the Marvel Cinematic Universe franchise, has the internet buzzing. Well the part of the internet that is into the MCU anyways. He recently said of Marvel Phase 4, “people will start to see where this next saga is going.”

“As we’re nearing the end of Phase 4, I think people will start to see where this next saga is going,” Feige says in the new issue of Total Film. “I think there have been many clues already, that are at least apparent to me, of where this whole saga is going. But we’ll be a little more direct about that in the coming months, to set a plan, so audiences who want to see the bigger picture can see a tiny, tiny, tiny bit more of the roadmap.”
This led to widespread speculation among fans that the MCU was preparing to work on Secret Wars. This would pit Marvel’s most popular heroes against a group of villains. Meaning that several of the big named actors who have been part of the MCU would be making a return to the franchise.
Evans reveals that he isn’t interested in playing the role of Captain America
If Chris Evans is one of the actors the MCU is hoping will make a return, they might want to pitch that return as the Fantastic Four’s Johnny Storm aka the Human Torch. He’s not interested in reprising his role as Captain America.
In a recent interview, Evans reveals that he isn’t interested in playing the role of Captain America anymore. Evans would be much more interested in getting another shot at playing the Johnny Storm. He loved the role and it would be an easier sell than returning as Captain America.
“I really loved that character….Yeah. Look, I would love it. I would love it. That would actually be an easier sell to me than coming back as Cap.”
Evans played the role of the Fantastic Four’s Human Torch twice. He first appeared as Johnny Storm in 2005’s Fantastic Four. He then returned for the 2007 sequel, Rise of the Silver Surfer. His most recent role is that of Buzz Lightyear in the movie Lightyear, in theatres now.
