Anna Faris in THE ESTATE

Faris last starred in Overboard in 2018, which told the story of a maid pretending to be the wife of a wealthy yacht owner. This after he loses his memory following a boating accident. The Estate marks the return to the big screen and to the playful comedy genre she is known for.

Alongside Jessica Parker, the film is also set to be produced by Mark Goldberg, Sarah Gabriel, and Alison Benson. It was written and directed by Dean Craig.

Farris recently made headlines after an old interview surfaced in which she noted that she was scared of acting next to her now ex-husband Chris Pratt. The couple worked on two films together, Take Me Home Tonight and What’s Your Number.  She noted that although she enjoyed working with her then-husband at that time, she found it quite intimidating.

“It was a blast working with him. He makes me laugh all the time. But it’s also scary. I felt a little more vulnerable doing our scenes together because I’m always concerned about what he thinks. When it’s somebody who’s really close to you, you care about their opinion a little bit more,” she told Reuters.

The Estate is set to be released in theaters on Friday, November 4.
