Gisele Bündchen has been letting off some steam after an extended period of stepping back from the spotlight. While she was married to former NFL star Tom Brady, the icon and supermodel made it clear she was solely focusing on their kids. But now that they’ve divorced, she’s getting some “me time” and it’s clear she’s making the best of it! Gisele returned to her native Brazil to celebrate Carnival and she even wore a throwback to her 2004 look at the annual festival.

Gisele Has Been Practicing Her Dance Moves For Carnival
Just a few days ago, Gisele posted a video to Instagram of herself practicing some dance moves. And she certainly can dance. “Getting in the mood for carnival!” she captioned. Beside her was dance coach Justin Neto. They were grooving out to Balança Pema by Brazilian singer and samba producer Marisa Monte. Gisele has perfect rhythm, perfect posture, and the body of a 20-year-old athlete and model even at the age of 42.
The Christian pre-Lent annual celebration is held in Brazil every year from Sunday through Tuesday, ending the day before Ash Wednesday. On Monday, Gisele posted a carousel of pics from the festivities in Rio de Janeiro. It isn’t clear if they were from day one or two hopefully there will be more!
Gisele Hasn’t Aged a Day As She Recreates 2004 Rio Carnival Outfit
Best of all, Gisele knows her fans and she remembered her iconic 2004 Rio Carnival look. Both times, she wore tight white jeans, a skinny shoelace belt, and a crop top that read, “Brahma.” According to Yahoo, Brahma is not referring to the Hindu god here but actually to a beer company. Gisele seemed to cut a black Brahma t-shirt into a much smaller version this time around.
In 2004, her nearly identical outfit featured a red Brahma t-shirt and matching red shoelace belt. Nearly 20 years after the first time she wore this to Carnival, Gisele looks just as amazing. Her rock-hard abs, toned arms, and flawless skin haven’t changed at all.
Gisele Is Soaking Up the Single Life
Moms need a break sometimes, and Gisele is finally getting hers. After her divorce with Tom Brady was finalized last year, news broke that she had a new boyfriend. But it’s not clear if she’s with anyone now. Rather, it seems like she’s just having the time of her life in her home country because it’s her turn. On Valentine’s Day, the model posted a carousel of herself with her dogs. “Pure love!! I am convinced they are little angels on Earth. Happy Valentine’s Day to all!” she wrote in English and Portuguese.
In September, Gisele told People that it was her turn to focus on herself after making sacrifices for her soon-to-be ex-husband.
“I’ve done my part, which is [to] be there for [Brady]. I moved to Boston, and I focused on creating a cocoon and a loving environment for my children to grow up in and to be there supporting him and his dreams,” she said.
Gisele added that allowing Brady to focus on his NFL career with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers while raising their kids (Benjamin, Vivian, and stepson Jack) had been her priority. “At this point in my life, I feel like I’ve done a good job on that.”
But she was ready to live for herself, too. “I have a huge list of things that I have to do, that I want to do. At 42, I feel more connected with my purpose,” she said. Indeed, Carnival must have been one of those bucket list items!
Tom Brady Is Getting Some Time With the Kids Post-Retirement
While Gisele is partying back home with her friends, Tom Brady had a chance to spend time with the kids. The newly retired quarterback posted a series of photos to his Instagram stories with his kids somewhere in the snowy mountains. His children could be seen sliding down a hill and sitting in the snow wearing snowshoes. “Ok we are going BIG tomorrow,” he wrote.
The former quarterback was initially drafted into the NFL in 2000. After being urged to retire due to his lengthy career and the violence of the sport, Brady announced he was done in February 2022. But just 40 days later, he changed his mind. He announced his second retirement “for good” on February 1, 2023 but not everyone believes he’s really done.

I love you allI am truly grateful on this day. Thank you,” Brady wrote on Instagram. He included a series of pics of his NFL friends, children, and even Gisele. “Wishing you only wonderful things in this new chapter of your life,” she commented.
Regardless of if Tom Brady ever returns to the NFL, it’s clear that he’s making the most of his newfound free time at least for the moment. As he soaks up the snow with his littles, Gisele gets to shake her booty in Brazil. Everyone’s a winner.
