This is not the best way to begin Oliver’s (Martin Short) return to the theater. As shock ripples through the audience, the credits flip on screen, signaling the end of the episode; leaving fans hungry and eager for the next season.

Viewers are wondering — What can we expect?

Returning Cast Members

Selena Gomez, Martin Short, and Steve Martin will all reprise their roles in the third season of the crime comedy. The trio will most likely be investigating Ben’s death, tracking movements and moments that viewers missed from the time jump to the show’s present-day broadway catastrophe.

Originally, the podcasters were limiting their exploits to murders that occurred in their New York City apartment building, the Arconia. (Hence the iconic and ironic namesake) But it looks like their sleuthing skills will be stepping out of the lobby and onto the stage as they hunt down their next killer.

New Faces

As filming begins, several announcements have been made about star-studded additions to the already A-List cast. Paul Rudd is continuing his role as Ben Glenroy, and the ever-glamorous Meryl Streep has been added to the cast as well as Grey’s Anatomy’s Jesse Williams.

Variety magazine provided the inside scoop on Williams’ role stating that he will play a “documentarian with a particular interest in the case that Mabel, Charles, and Oliver are working on.” The role that Streep will play has yet to be announced.

The cast and crew of this series have done a remarkable job of bringing wit, humor, and character depth into a thrilling venture of murder and mystery.
