It looks like we have yet another friend in serials as rumors swirl of a fifth Toy Story movie.

In June 2019, lots of farewells were said between the beloved toys as Pixar’s favorite cowboy, Woody, and the ranger of the galaxy, Buzz Lightyear, said an emotional goodbye in the final scene of Toy Story 4.
Tears were shed and applause echoed through theaters as viewers celebrated what we believed to be the end of a colorful, fun-loving era. But since then, Hollywood has found a bit of an obsessive stride with remakes, adaptations, spin-offs, reboots, sequels, and yes, serials.
According to Disney’s CEO Bob Iger, a Toy Story 5 is in the works at the iconic animation studio.
Are We Heading To The Theater?
While an official release date has not been announced, fans speculate that it might follow a similar path to the film before it.
The making of Toy Story 4 was announced in 2014, but it did not premiere in theaters until 2019 which means we may not see our favorite toys for their fifth cinematic debut until 2028.
The new film could release sooner, though, and as excitement builds about the continuation of this adventure, updates may come sooner than we think.
Cast And Storyline
It’s currently suspected that Tim Allen and Tom Hanks will reprise their iconic roles as Buzz and Woody. Allen responded to a tweet Disney posted about the announcement of the fifth movie saying, “See ya soon Woody, you are a sad strange little man and you have my pity. And off we go to a number 5! To infinity and beyond!”
Though official confirmations have not been shared, we can also expect to see the rest of Bonnie’s toys and their voice actors make their way back into the fold for yet another playful adventure.
