The NFL Honors ceremony took place yesterday, where awards were presented to players from the league. But, we quickly learned it was mainly an opportunity to have fun, grab the microphone, and make a fool of oneself.

George Kittle won the award for the most embarrassing moment of the night after he decided to put his own twist on Kelly Clarkson’s “My Life Would Suck Without You.”

Clarkson hosted the NFL Honors on Thursday and wasn’t shy at all! The talk show host jokingly roasted Tom Brady for a revealing picture he posted, adapting her hit song “Since You Been Gone.” “For the GOAT, he’s done. Now just thirst traps are posted,” she sang. Kelly made history as the first female host of the ceremony, held in Phoenix before Super Bowl LVII.

“Thirst trap” is a widely used term now, and even has its own Wikipedia page. For those unfamiliar, according to Wikipedia, it’s “a type of social media post meant to attract viewers sexually, likening sexual desire to being thirsty and therefore, desperate.” Now you know!
Clarkson wasn’t the only one who poked fun at Brady! His former teammate, Rob Gronkowski, also had advice for his modeling poses.
“I don’t think he did it right… his hand is not in the right place,” Gronk noted. “He’s covering up a little bit. You’re not supposed to be covering up! That’s what’s supposed to be showing.”
“You gotta show the package, Tom,” he laughed. “It’s uncharacteristic of him, for sure. But that’s what we love about Tom. When he throws a curveball, it’s always for the fun and it’s always great to see him doing that.”
