1. Shocking Video Shows Man Set Himself on Fire at UC Berkeley Campus

Authorities are currently investigating an incident that occurred near the University of California at Berkeley on Wednesday. A video is currently circulating depicting a man setting himself on fire and walking around the area.

The video has now been viewed over 350,000 times. It is alleged that the man in question was suffering from a severe mental health episode when he set himself on fire. The reports of the incident began flooding in around 4:17 pm. Several onlookers spotted a young man completely engulfed in flames wandering around Sproul Plaza on campus.

2. Alex Murdaugh Gets 2 Life Sentences in Prison for Murders of Wife and Son

Alex Murdaugh was sentenced on Friday morning to two life sentences in prison, with the sentences running consecutively. Murdaugh’s sentencing comes a day after the 54-year-old was found guilty of the murders of his wife, 52-year-old Maggie, and 22-year-old Paul.

 He is facing two counts of murder and two weapon charges for the June 7th, 2021 shooting.  Authorities stated that he killed his wife and son as financial and personal struggles became very overwhelming. Prior to sentencing, he addressed judge Clifton Newman, saying, “I’m innocent. I would never hurt my wife Maggie. And I would never hurt my son Paul Paul.”

3. Man Trapped Inside Submerged Car Saved by Deputies Tracking Phone Distress Signal

A couple in California is filing a lawsuit against a fertility clinic after their son was born with a rare stomach cancer gene that they went through IVF treatment to avoid.

The claim is in filed the Los Angeles County Superior Court by Jason and Melissa Diaz. The specifics of their case include an accusation against the HRC Fertility clinic for implanting an embryo carrying the CDH1 mutation that causes rare cancer.

4. Riley Keough Says Sex Scene With Her Real-Life Husband In ‘Daisy Jones & The Six’ Was ‘Really Uncomfortable’

Shooting an intimate scene with your actual partner can get pretty awkward, fast! While appearing on Late Night with Seth Meyers to promote Daisy Jones & The Six, Riley Keough talked about filming a sex scene with her actual real-life husband.

“The cameo came about because I have to have intercourse with a random person in the show, and the producers were like, ‘It would be so funny if it was your husband,’” she stated.

5. US Agency Sues Exxon After 5 Nooses Found at Louisiana Plant

ExxonMobil is being sued for racial discrimination by a U.S. federal agency after allegations that the company failed to protect workers from harassment after five nooses were found at one of its Louisiana plants in 2020.

The U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) said in a statement that a Black employee at Exxon’s chemical plant in Baton Rouge found at least one of the hangman’s nooses in January 2020. The man reportedly made the discovery in January 2020.

At the time, Exxon had been made aware of three other such instances, with a fifth taking place later in 2020, the suit alleges.
