Actress Anne Heche seems lucky to be alive. New video has shown she sped her car into home; ignited a fire, before she was taken away on a stretcher.

Footage shows Heche speeding and driving recklessly after first crashing into a garage at an apartment complex.

Heche was driving a blue Mini Cooper when the crash occurred in Los Angeles.

TMZ reported that people attempted to get Heche out of her car at the apartment complex before she raced away. Not long after that drama, she crashed into the home, with the result engulfing the house in flames.

Heche, 53, suffered severe severe burns as a result of the crash. So much so that, as of Friday, doctors had been unable to run any tests to determine whether she had been under the influence of drugs or alcohol, TMZ reported.

Back in 2000, Heche drove from Los Angeles to Fresno, parked her SUV on the roadside, and wearing only a bra and shorts, walked through the desert, stopping only to knock on the door of a stranger’s house. She later admitted to taking ecstasy at the time.

Heche previously has been romantically linked to comedian and TV host Ellen DeGeneres and actor James Tupper.
