No, really. While on Jimmy Kimmel Live!, the super model and businesswoman told Nicole Byer all about her latest vacation with hubby and German guitarist Tom Kaulitz. They were celebrating their third anniversary and decided to go get colonoscopies.
Klum is about to turn 50 and admitted that she was “late to the party” because the recommended age to get your first colonoscopy is 45. The American Cancer Society recommends that all people age 45 and older get regularly checked for colorectal cancer. Further, that kind of checkup incidentally requires having someone stick a tube up your butt with a camera attached to it.

Klum explained that her husband Tom has really bad cluster headaches. As such, they decided to vacation at a health retreat in Austria. And it was there that they decided to get their colonoscopies. They also got endoscopies, which is when doctors stick a tube through your mouth and photograph your intestines from the other direction.
“So, you do it this way and that way—”
“And they met in the middle?” asked Byer.
“They met in the middle,” Klum confirmed. “You know, usually I have my photo taken from the outside, but they were all in there.”
Indeed, it sounds like they were.
Klum also spoke about the most uncomfortable date in her life. At one point, she was at a movie theatre with a guy who kept a box of popcorn on his lap the entire time.
Klum said it was awkward already, but then she reached in for some popcorn and felt a “hotdog” that was “still attached.”
“Have you ever had a hotdog in your popcorn?” Klum asked the audience.
Klum also said that she hopes that kind of thing will never happen again but that it was “very memorable.”
“That’s something that you talk about in therapy,” said Byer. “That’s tough. But maybe AMC will have another commercial with Nicole Kidman, and she’s like, ‘You can get a hot dog in your popcorn.’”
