But it’s true: Prepon, one of the main cast members of That ‘70s Show, is married to Foster, a supremely talented but criminally overlooked actor.

So, what led up to their marriage and when did they wed? Let’s answer some of the questions you might have on the brain — but start with synopses of their careers.

Laura Prepon’s Career

On That ‘70s Show, Prepon played Eric’s girlfriend/neighbor Donna Pinciotti.

Her film career includes The Girl on the Train, but she remains mostly on TV shows. Prepon appeared on House and How I Meet Your Mother. She also starred in Orange Is the New Black.

Prepon’s next project appears to be the follow-up series to That ‘70s Show, called That ‘90s Show.

Prepon will only appear in one of the 10 episodes encompassing the first season of the long-awaited sequel series. But fans will freak out, no doubt, when they see Prepon, Ashton Kutcher, and Mila Kunis — along with their cast mates Topher Grace and Wilder Valderrama.

That ‘90s Show premieres on Jan. 19 on Netflix.

Ben Foster’s Career

Foster made a name for himself by playing “dark and complex characters,” according to The Famous People.

His highest-profile film is arguably 2006’s X-Men: The Last Stand, in which he occupied the role of Angel.

But Foster, who started his acting career nearly 30 years ago, is best known for striking performances in under-the-radar films.

Foster won Saturn Award and Satellite Award nominations for portraying a sadistic cowboy in 2007’s 3:10 to Yuma. He drew even more praise for playing a modern-day outlaw in another Western, 2016’s Hell or High Water. For that gritty role, Foster won an Independent Spirit Award.

He also drew the attention of critics for his idiosyncratic performances in 2009’s The Messenger and 2018’s Leave No Trace.

Laura Prepon and Ben Foster’s Relationship

Prepon apparently prefers dating actors. She and Christopher Masterson, brother of another That ‘70s Show actor — the troubled Danny Masterson — saw each from 1999 to 2007, according to US Magazine.

After that, she dated actor Scott Michael Foster. He’s best known for his role in the ABC comedy-drama Greek.

She and Foster started seeing each other in 2016 after Danny Masterson — a friend of both actors — helped match them.

Prepon and Foster tied the knot two years later, when they were both in their 30s, according to US Weekly. They had a daughter and son together — in 2017 and 2020, respectively. Neither Prepon nor Foster have any other children.

In 2018, Prepon admitted to the same publication that she found it tough to transition into a working mother.

“It’s torture,” the actress said. “I went back to work at six weeks. I was directing when [her daughter] was four months old. But she would be proud if she knew what I was doing.”
