The singer and talk show host will be doing a 10-day residency titled Chemistry: An Intimate Evening With Kelly Clarkson.

The residency is set to bolster her upcoming studio album Chemistry. Her first album in six years.
“I could only commit to 10 shows, that’s why it’s exclusive. I ain’t adding more, I’m telling you right now. Mama needs a little bit, a minute of a break,” she said on the hit talk show.
The shows begin on July 28th and end on August 19th. The tickets go on sale on March 31st.
Clarkson has discussed details about her upcoming album.
“I was trying to find a word that really described the whole thing ‘cause I didn’t want everybody to think I was just coming out with some just like, ‘I’m angry, I’m sad’ — like just one or two emotions, you know?” she shared. “This album is definitely the arc of an entire relationship, and a whole relationship shouldn’t be just brought down to one thing. So there’s the good, the bad, and the ugly kind of thing going on in it.”
“Chemistry can be a really amazing, sexy, cool, fun thing, but it can also be very bad for you,” she continued. “So, that’s why I named it Chemistry. I thought it was kind of the perfect title to describe the entire album.”
New Music
The album will be Clarkson’s first since she and her ex-husband, Brandon Blackstock, split in 2021 after being married for seven years. The title of the album conveys that this is not the average breakup album, as it carries deeper meaning.
The new album was announced on Instagram on Sunday.
“It’s officially time to tell you that I’ve been working on this project for — well, close to three years now,” Clarkson said in the video. “And I wasn’t sure I was going to release it, but I am. The album is called Chemistry, and it’s called Chemistry because I was trying to find a word — also, it might be one of the songs on the album — but I was trying to find a word that really described the whole thing.”
