An LSU student may have asked his parents for money, but if they sent some, apparently it wasn’t enough.

So he gathered some of his friends, broke into Tiger Stadium and stole $1,500 worth of beer. But Bryce Tilotta, 19, and his band of thieves were caught by campus police while carrying the beer out of the stadium at 3 a.m. on a Sunday morning, per WBRZ.

For the record, Tilotta was the only one arrested because he was the only one who was caught. It was his black truck, after all, that showed up on the surveillance video. All of those responsible for the alcoholic heist reportedly fled when approached by a campus police officer.

Bryce Tilotta Arrested

Once authorities found Tilotta’s truck, they received consent to search his room. And there were the missing cases of beer. No word on if Tilotta had 99 cases of beer on the wall, but they were definitely in his possession, authorities said.

Tilotta admitted to taking the beer and was promptly arrested for one count of simple burglary.

How Tilotta and his beer-tugging bros were able to enter the stadium has yet to be determined.

“Those kids sure went big with their theft attempt,” wrote Larry Brown of Larry Brown Sports. “Maybe if they kept it reasonable at a case or two, they would have been fine. But $1,500 of beer? It’s hard to imagine nobody noticing that.”

Man, ain’t that the truth?
