Access Hollywood on Monday released a snippet of an upcoming TV episode in which Ashton Kutcher will talk for the first time about the rare autoimmune disorder.

“Like two years ago, I had this weird, super rare form of vasculitis,” Ashton Kutcher reportedly says in the interview. “[It] knocked out my vision, it knocked out my hearing, it knocked out like all my equilibrium,”

According to the clip, he had to devote a year to building back up each of the three abilities affected by the medical disorder.

The full interview will appear on the National Geographic program Running Wild With Bear Grylls: The Challenge, according to Access Hollywood.

Ashton Kutcher Explains Vasculitis

Vasculitis involves inflammation of the blood vessels and can result in damage to organs and tissues, according to Mayo Clinic. The clinic noted that most types of vasculitis are rare.

“You don’t really appreciate it, until it’s gone,” Ashton Kutcher reportedly also says in the interview. “Until you go, ‘I don’t know if I’m ever going to be able to see again. I don’t know if I’m ever going to be able to hear again. I don’t know if I’m ever going to be able to walk again.’”

Kutcher is the husband of Mila Kunis. They played on-again-off-again couple Michael Kelso and Jackie Burkhart on the sitcom That ‘70s Show from 1998 to 2006.

They had a daughter, Wyatt Isabelle Kutcher, in 2014. The couple married in 2015. Additionally, they had a son, Dimitri Portwood Kutcher, in 2016. Like lots of couples, they were plagued by breakup rumors throughout their relationship. Nonetheless, they remain happily together and even joke about the rumors. In 2019 they set social media ablaze when they uploaded a video to Instagram in which they joked about an In Touch Weekly cover proclaiming their imminent divorce, in which Mila proclaimed she felt suffocated and was taking the kids, per The Sun.
