Don’t be surprised if you enter Starbucks this holiday season and start seeing red. Not because you’re becoming angry — but because the coffee chain giant is indeed bringing back its red cups.

This is typical for the holiday season, as are special holiday drinks, which are also making a return.

“We have always talked about the cups as little gifts, and we hope they feel like a festive present to our customers and store partners,” Starbucks’ creative director for this year’s holiday campaign, Gary Jacobson, said in a statement.

Believe it or not, these cups have been an annual thing at Starbucks for 25 years. They became available this year on Nov. 3.

“We are really focused on creating a joyful experience throughout the entire Starbucks experience – whether a customer is visiting at our drive-thru or in our café,” said Jacobson. “Whatever we can touch, we wanted to make sure that we make someone’s day a little bit brighter in a holiday way.”

Per the Starbucks release:

“To bring that sentiment to life on the cups, designers created a collection of holiday motifs — like sparkles, ornaments and snowflakes — to add a sense of seasonal joy. Ribbon and tape elements bring another gift-giving element, along with gift tags on the back of each cup — perfect for a personalized note.”

Then there are the many flavors, of course, made special for the holidays and served on a limited basis each year. That includes the always-popular peppermint mocha. As well as the caramel brulée latte, chestnut praline latte, toasted white chocolate mocha and Irish cream cold brew. Along with those, the iced sugar cookie almond milk latte returns for a second year.
