He shared a photo to his Instagram story of a handwritten note from his nephew, Auggie.
“I am very lucky because my uncle is hawk-eye. I am also very lucky that my uncle is alive from his accident,” his nephew wrote.
Renner wrote “Love my little man. Love you, Auggie,” on the sweet photo of the note.
On New Year’s Day, the actor experienced severe chest and orthopedic trauma after an incident involving a snowplow. The details of the accident were obtained by a spokesperson from CNN.
The accident took place while Renner was assisting a family member in shoveling snow off a driveway close to his Nevada home. In January, he shared an update on his Instagram, which revealed he had suffered a fracture in more than 30 bones due to the incident.
In Recovery
Renner was airlifted to a medical center after the accident and admitted to the ICU for surgery. Since being released from the hospital, Jeremy has been engaging in rigorous physical therapy to regain his strength.
The most recent update was a photo Renner shared several weeks ago. He captioned the post: “Morning workouts, resolutions all changed this particular new years …. The actor has a project debuting soon. Disney+ recently released the trailer for ‘Rennervations,’ a docuseries featuring Renner and a team of experts. The show follows them on their journey to restore old vehicles for communities in need, breathing new life into them.
