Chris Hemsworth had a dream. That dream was about his butt. While speaking to Variety during the premier of Thor: Love and Thunder, Hemsworth rather cheekily revealed that his dream has finally come true.

“What was it like seeing your Thor ass on screen for the first time? Is it your real ass?” asked Variety’s Mark Malkin.
Hemsworth started his reply with reminding Malkin that he’d already shown his butt in the movie Rush back in 2013.
“But, in a Marvel film, it was a very large screen,” Hemsworth continued as he put his hands up in the air, fingers spread. “It was a very big pair of cheeks. And uh, I don’t know. I’ve seen them before,” he quipped with a smirk. “Pfff, whatever.”
When asked if he prepped for the scene with squats, Hemsworth responded that he’d pretty much spent the entire last decade getting ready.
“I did a lot of everything. It was sort of ten years in the making, that scene. It was a dream of mine, you know. The first time I played Thor, I took my shirt off, and I thought, ‘You know what’s going to sweeten this? A decade from now, it’s all going to come off.’ And here we are.”
Alright, we’re sold. If we go to the theatre to watch Thor: Love and Thunder, we get to see Chris Hemsworth’s butt on the big screen.
Ten years in the making, 38 years in the making, pfff whatever.
It’s not a big deal, Hemsworth has seen it all before, but, uh, we haven’t! Let’s go!
Thor: Love and Thunder officially releases July 8. Natalie Portman stars alongside Chris Hemsworth as his love interest, astrophysicist Jane Foster. She also basically transforms into a female Thor when she gets a hold of his hammer.
