Tamorian Moore, 23, is being held in jail in Austin for the killing of Leonard Foster. According to police, Moore said that Foster was trying to seduce him and that “Lucifer” was actually responsible for Foster’s death. Moore added that he blacked out and wasn’t certain how “Lucifer” committed the crime.
Foster’s body was found in Moore’s apartment, police said, via Fox 7.
Police were alerted by a caller that Foster had gone missing. The caller said that they had seen Moore driving Foster’s car and carrying trash bags out of Foster’s apartment. Moore was still carrying trash bags when arrested, per the report.
The Travis County Medical Examiner’s Office performed Foster’s autopsy and determined that he was killed by blunt force trauma. Along with that, there was also cut marks on his body.
Foster’s family indicated they feel Moore targeted him because Foster was gay.
“We would like to see the charges upgraded (to a hate crime),” Foster’s niece, Debra Adams, told KXAN.
Police have not said if the are investigating the homicide as a hate crime, as they have yet to determine if Foster’s sexual orientation played a role.
