No one can top country legend Conway Twitty, but Scotty McCreery just got real close.

At a Grand Ole Opry performance at Nashville’s Ryman Auditorium in February 2015, Scotty took on Twitty’s classic song “Hello Darlin’,” showing off those baritone vocals on the classic hit.

The Grand Ole Opry stage has always been welcoming since McCreery made his first appearance there back in 2011, after his American Idol win.

Known best for hits such as “The Trouble with Girls” and “See You Tonight,” Scotty is currently out promoting his new book,“Go Big or Go Home: The Journey Toward the Dream.”

“I try to make short-term decisions based on a long-term view… if that makes any sense,” he said. “I’m looking toward the future and the big goals I want to accomplish. You have to accomplish a lot of the short-term goals to get there, but you look toward the future. You hope you can get there. There is a lot of stuff you have to do today before you get there.”
