Actress Eva Mendes, 49, who is in a long-term relationship with A-lister Ryan Gosling, 42, shared a heartfelt post reflecting on the time they first met. The couple first began their romance when they met in 2011 on the set of director Derek Cianfrance’s drama The Place Beyond the Pines.

Via Instagram, Mendes posted a heartfelt message to Gosling, which read, “🖤Luke & Romina🖤. Mi socia @scondito just sent me this telling me it’s been 10 years since this film came out. Feels like lifetimes ago.” The caption was accompanied by a series of 9 photos showcasing Mendes and Gosling in character as a family with their on-screen infant, Jason.

Dane Dehaan, who played Jason as a teenager in The Place Beyond the Pines, commented on Mendes’ post, writing, “Mom & Dad.” Fellow actress Alyssa Milano also commented, saying, “Beautiful girl. 🙌.”
Mendes and Gosling were first reported to a be couple in 2011 when they were spotted out on a date at Disneyland’s California Adventure Park. Mendes referred to Gosling as her husband in 2022, but their marriage has never been confirmed. Together, the couple shares two young daughters, Esmeralda Amada Gosling and Amada Lee Gosling.
Not too long ago, Mendes reacted online to photos featuring Gosling as Ken in the new Barbie movie. Mendes posted photos of Gosling in character on Instagram and wrote, “So. F. Funny. So. F. Good. So F excited for you to see this … #Thatsmyken.”
The Place Beyond the Pines was released theatrically on March 29, 2013, two years after it was initially filmed. The film tells a story in three acts, with the first act featuring Gosling as a motorcycle stuntman turned bank robber. The second act follows a cop played by Bradley Cooper, who ends the life of Gosling’s character. In the third act, the teenage son of Gosling’s character seeks answers for his father’s death.
