Philadelphia Streets See Influx of Disappointed Eagles Fans After Super Bowl Defeat

I’m not always fans of the Super Bowl winners that riot gleefully in the streets. Anyone who thinks that doesn’t know fans of Philadelphia teams.

They can be downright angry, win, lose or draw.

Fans of no less than the Philadelphia Eagles put that on full display following the hard-fought Super Bowl loss to Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday. Hours after the game, Eagles fans took to their own streets to “celebrate” in their own way.

With anger.

Cars were overturned, fireworks were lit, and curse words were scattered about. It truly was the agony that can come with defeat.

Eagles Fans Go Wild

Some climbed light poles. Others danced on bus stop roofs. It was as if they were protesting the fact their team wasn’t as good as the Chiefs, but they didn’t know who to blame. So they took it to the streets.

Police and SWAT team members stood nearby, and while a few words were exchanged, only several arrests were made, per reports. As far as anyone knows, no injuries or major damage were reported, either. (Unless you count the car that was flipped over near Temple University, but that was BEFORE the game.)

So the Eagles were grounded after a fine season, and just barely. But that’s all it took for their fans to show they were upset.

Fans of most teams would turn off the television, go to bed and try to just forget about the game altogether if their favorite team lost in the Super Bowl. But most fans aren’t fans of the Philadelphia Eagles.
