For those of you who enjoyed the recently zany movie Cocaine Bear, well, you may be in luck.

It appears we finally have enough material for a sequel.

The movie, based on a real-life incident in the 1980s, when a bear got ahold of some cocaine, took the storyline way too far — but all in good fun.

Now, it seems, we have a bear who may have seen the movie and decided to go too far himself. But he may have been confused about the word “coke.” Because instead of ingesting cocaine, this bear went for the soft drink.

Hey, we never said that bears are bright.

But they are big and occasionally, angry. So the bear in question here smashed a car window before reaching the decision to get all hopped up on caffeine.

Cocaine Bear in Real Life

In fact, how does drinking 69 cans of Coke sound? The answer is like someone who is ready to party all night. Or at least someone with a real addiction to sugar, caffeine and high fructose corn syrup.

Anyway, the bear stole the soda pop from a women’s vehicle in Canada. She had so many in tow (72 actually) because she was headed to a company party. Apparently, she was the person in charge of the beverages.

But the bear had other things in mind.

According to reports, he smashed the windows in a car belonging to Sharon Rosel at 3 a.m., waking up her dogs and eventually, Rosel herself. When she looked out the window, there the bear sat, having himself a time.

Worse, he smashed the cans and left them scattered about, like a co-ed at a wild frat party.

Not all of the soda was Coke, of course. The bear also crushed some Orange Crush. His quest lasted nearly an hour, Rosel said, via the New York Post.

“You could hear him, slurping it the whole time,” Rosel said.

Not surprising. If there’s one thing a bear who steals Coke isn’t likely to have, it’s good table manners. And along with possibly launching himself into a diabetic coma, the bear ripped up the interior of Rosel’s car.

Granted, people who live in areas populated by bears are supposed to avoid keeping food in their vehicles. Bears can sniff it out and do some damage in their attempts to get to it.

But soda pop? You’d think that would be safe.

“I never thought it could smell pop through a can,” Rosel said.
