House Speaker Kevin McCarthy released a statement on Tuesday officially rejecting the appointment of Democrats Adam Schiff and Eric Swalwell to the House Intelligence Committee.

McCarthy appeared before reporters after releasing the statement. Reporters questioned him over the rejection of Schiff and Swalwell.

Also during the press conference, McCarthy specifically mentioned Eric Swalwell’s relationship with a Chinese Spy that was exposed back in 2020.
McCarthy claimed that the FBI had raised questions over Swalwell, saying quote…
“The FBI was concerned about putting a Member of Congress on the Intel Committee — that has the rights to see things that others don’t — because of his knowledge and relationship with a Chinese spy.”

Both Schiff and Swalwell have been publicly criticized for their position on the House Intelligence Committee.
After the Chinese spy scandal, Pelosi controversially allowed for Swalwell to remain on this very important committee.
Throwing caution to the wind, Pelosi favored her own political party over the security of the Nation. It was widely covered and should not be forgotten.
A great step in the right direction for House Republicans looking to clean up the Democrat’s corruption. Kevin McCarthy had promised this, and now he is following through.
