You want to be comfortable when you fly, right? Of course, everyone does. But even if you’re going somewhere warm, shorts may not be the best idea.

That is the advice from flight attendant Tommy Cimato, who has become renowned for his behind-the-scenes looks and knowledge of airplanes and travel.
Here is what he says about flying while wearing shorts, via his popular TikTok account:
“You never know how clean (a seat) is going to be,” Cimato said. “So if you have pants, you’re going to have less germs.”
Makes sense, no? That’s not all Cimato advised. He also said to avoid resting your head on the window for the same reason (germs) and to make sure you stay hydrated by drinking 16 ounces of water before your flight.
Oh, and if all that water causes you to use the restroom, don’t use your bare hands to flush.

Another big tip from Cimato: Don’t be afraid to let a flight attendant know if you’re sick. “We are there to help,” he added.
Also, fun fact…apparently Flight Attendants hate it when you order Diet Coke while in the air! Yup, apparently things obviously don’t work the same as they do here on the ground as they do in the sky. The airplane’s cabin stays at the pressure of 8,000 feet above sea level. This is why you can notice the pressure when your ears begin to po. So what does this mean? Well, flight attendants say that one of the fizziest drinks that one can order on a flight is Diet Coke!!! This due to the foam that caused by the pressure. Yes, which is is why they have dubbed the delicious drink as the “most annoying beverage”.
