Who doesn’t like to share a good fishing story? On that note, who doesn’t like to hear a good dildo story? Well, Jon Hoop of Shelbyville, Indiana has got the story to beat them all, folks. Because he caught a catfish who ate a dildo.

Fox News reports on the catch and yes, there are photos. They’re blurred out, but it appears that the 20-pound catfish ate a massive adult sex toy. You can see its big old belly about to burst with the thing.
Hoop went out on his friend Richard Kesar’s boat that day on the Ohio River. Jon Hoop wanted to catch his first blue catfish.
Jon reeled the fish in as Richard netted it. And that’s when they noticed that there was something wrong.
Richard Kesar told Fox that “We noticed when we got it in the boat that its stomach was huge… It’s common to find other fish, sometimes turtles, muskrats, and other animals.”
They brought the massive fish home and cleaned it. Thereupon, they found a “foam ball, part of a fish, and the other object.” The other object was the dildo.
Richard’s 3-year-old daughter was present with her mom when the “big reveal” happened, unfortunately. He says that the three adults started laughing as the mom turned their daughter away and covered her eyes. Their daughter still doesn’t understand what was in the fish’s stomach and hasn’t been told. Chalk it up to normal curiosity.
On that note, no one knows how the sex toy ended up in the river. But we can definitely say that curiosity killed the catfish. The poor thing probably thought it was the largest worm it would ever eat in its life.
Richard Kesar posted pictures of Jon Hoop’s catch on Facebook and of course the post went viral. It’s not clear if it’s still on his page.
