Teenagers are Now Cooking Chicken in NyQuil as Part of New Challenge

Teenagers seriously scare the living heck out of me. You never know the next thing they are gonna do, they are so unpredictable. This time around, these said teens are partaking in a viral challenge that requires them to cook chicken in NyQuil!

Yes, chicken cooked with NyQuil. Lord, oh lord. It’s gotten so out of hand that now the FDA is getting involved, basically saying this is stupid and they shouldn’t do it.

The agency issued quite a scary warning after videos began to surface on TikTok, challenging the teens. Obviously, this is dumb due to NyQuil counting acetaminophen, doxylamine, and dextromethorphan. This as well as other similar over-the-counter cold and cough medications.

NyQuil Chicken, anyone?

“Boiling a medication can make it much more concentrated and change its properties in other ways,” they stated. “Even if you don’t eat the chicken, inhaling the medication’s vapors while cooking could cause high levels of the drugs to enter your body. It could also hurt your lungs.”

But, despite the warning, several videos keep on popping up on TikTok with the captions and hashtag reading #sleepy chicken. While searching for other related TikTok videos, users are given a warning.,  “Some online challenges can be dangerous, disturbing, or even fabricated. Learn how to recognize harmful challenges so you can protect your health and well-being.”

Honestly, the fact that the FDA is getting involved is ridiculous in itself. It’s crazy to think about how far these stupid challenges have now come. The worst part about this whole thing is that you KNOW this isn’t the last challenge that will go viral. It’s unpredictable, which is terrifying. I just hope these kids are sane and smart enough to realize that cooking anything in NyQuil is a bad idea.
