OnlyFans Influencers are Reportedly Claiming Boob Jobs are Work Expenses

Several OnlyFans models have reportedly found a legal loophole that allows them to claim breast implants as a work expense. If an OnlyFans performer can legally prove that their surgery was done solely because of their job, it is covered as a work expense, according to HM Revenue & Customs.

Rebecca Goodwin, an OnlyFans model from Derbyshire, England, spoke to BBC about her surgery that was included as a work expense, saying, “I wouldn’t have had a boob job if it wasn’t for doing this, I was feeling quite insecure and had to meet people’s beauty standards.” Although, she does feel that claiming the surgery as a work expense should not be so easy.

Breast Implants as a Work Expense

Goodwin added, “I do think there should be guidelines, although I don’t think anyone would go to the extent of setting up a company just to get a boob job.” Before her surgery, Goodwin was making over $12,000 a month from OnlyFans but now rakes in just shy of $35,000 a month. Because of the specific interests of subscribers, many OnlyFans models find that having breast implants is a clear way to accumulate larger amounts of money from the site.

Rachel Martin, an account who has filed claims for OnlyFans models, was puzzled by the fact that the idea of surgery as a work expense would take the internet by storm. Martin said, “The criteria for this specific client was that improving her appearance would increase her income, which has since been evidenced.” Martin’s husband James, who she runs her practice with, added, “The thing people aren’t understanding with this type of breast augmentation, they think it’s a perfectly normal surgery but this wasn’t a normal operation, this has put them in a niche.”

A spokesperson for HMRC recently spoke out on the matter. The spokesperson said, “It’s very unlikely that a non-health-related operation would be an allowable expense.”
